Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within S01

It's the year 2065 and the Earth is a very different place from the past. Deadly alien creatures known as Phantoms have appeared all over the planet and contact with these creatures is lethal, either causing immediate death or gradual decay. In an attempt to save the remnants of the human race, large force fields have been constructed around some cities to repel the Phantoms.
